Jeep 4×4 Day
Jeep 4×4 Day falls on April 4 (get it? 4/4) and is the unofficial holiday of Jeep culture — trail riders, overlanders, wave-returners, ducky-placers. The Jeep itself started as the Willys MB, a World War II utility vehicle that became civilian after 1945 and evolved into one of the few American icons you can still buy new with a removable top.
About this celebration
Founded 2016 by NDC & Jeep® (4/4)
How to celebrate
Own a Jeep? You already know. Don't?
- Go for a drive with the top or doors off. Weather permitting.
- Hit a local trail — state park, BLM land, forest road. Check conditions first.
- Meet up with a local Jeep club. They're the friendliest subcultures in automotive.
- Give a rubber duck to a Jeep you like. That's a whole thing now.
- Wave at every Jeep you pass today. They'll wave back.
Celebration ideas by audience
For families
Top-down Sunday drive. Kids in the back. Find a scenic route and take it slow.
For kids
Let them pick the destination. A Jeep with no plan is better than a Jeep with one.
For couples
Drive somewhere neither of you has been. Take the long way home.
At the office
Casual Jeep-shirt day. Most offices have more Jeep people than you'd think.
At school
Auto shop or engineering class tie-in: Jeep history is mid-century industrial design 101.
In your community
Organize or join a trail ride fundraiser. Jeep clubs love a cause.
On your own
Take the long way home today. That's the entire assignment.
