Autism Sunday
Every year on the second Sunday of February, the quietest and most powerful kind of advocacy takes a breath. Autism Sunday, also known as the International Day of Prayer for Autism and Asperger Syndrome, calls churches and communities everywhere to pray for and stand with people on the autism spectrum and the families and carers who love them. In 2027 it falls on February 14, a day that also happens to be Super Bowl Sunday, so amid the loudest Sunday of the sporting year, this observance offers its opposite: a moment of stillness and prayer.

3 ways to celebrate
Ask Your Church to Join In
Write or call your church office and ask that a prayer for autistic people, their families, and their carers be included in the Sunday service. A bulletin line or a pulpit mention helps the whole congregation remember every family matters.
Learn, Then Listen
Spend time learning about autism from autistic writers and advocates, and listen to the experiences of families in your own community. Understanding begins with attention.
Share the Day With Care
Post about Autism Sunday with the hashtag #AutismSunday, sharing the day's simple message of prayer and inclusion. Celebrate people, honor families, and keep it gentle.
