National Wreaths Across America Day
Every year on the third Saturday of December, we lay a wreath on every hero's stone and speak every name aloud. In 2026, that day is December 19. From a quiet act of gratitude in 1992, Wreaths Across America has grown into a national movement of remembrance at thousands of cemeteries.

3 ways to celebrate
Sponsor a Wreath from Home
For $17, you can sponsor a wreath through wreathsacrossamerica.org for a specific veteran or a local cemetery. It is a small gift with an enormous meaning.
Volunteer in Your Community
Join a wreath-laying ceremony on December 19 at a participating cemetery near you. Arrive early to help unload wreaths, and speak each veteran's name aloud as you place one.
Teach the Next Generation
Share the story of a local veteran with students or coworkers, or organize a moment of silence before the holidays. Remembrance is a lesson best taught together.
