International Day of Women and Girls in Science
Every year on February 11, the world pauses to honor the women and girls who expand what we know. The International Day of Women and Girls in Science recognizes their essential role in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and calls on every nation to open the laboratory door wider. Established by the United Nations in 2015, it is a day of recognition, reflection, and resolve.
