INTERNATIONAL DAYAWARENESS

World Restart a Heart Day

Every year on October 16, ordinary people practice one extraordinary skill: saving a life with their own two hands. Cardiac arrest can strike anyone, anywhere, and the minutes before help arrives belong to the bystanders. This day teaches us to be ready.

3 ways to celebrate

AT HOME

Learn hands-only CPR

Watch a short hands-only CPR video together as a family, find your nearest defibrillator, and make sure everyone knows where it is.

WITH FRIENDS

Take a class together

Sign up for a CPR certification class with friends, or compete to see who can teach the technique to the most people.

AT WORK OR SCHOOL

Bring CPR to your community

Ask your school or office to install an AED, host a CPR training session, or push for CPR in the school curriculum.

Plan ahead

World Restart a Heart Day is observed on October 16 every year. Here is where it lands for the next ten years, handy for planners, marketers and party people.
