3 ways to celebrate
Learn the Warning Signs
Take time today to learn how tsunamis form and what the natural warnings look like: a strong earthquake near the coast, or the sea suddenly pulling back. Knowing these signs can save your life and the lives of those around you.
Make a Family Emergency Plan
Talk through what your household would do in a natural disaster: where you would go, how you would communicate, and what you would take. Write the plan down, share it, and practice it together.
Support Preparedness Locally
Attend or host an educational seminar, share reliable tsunami-safety resources with #WorldTsunamiAwarenessDay, and ask your community about evacuation routes and early warning coverage. Preparedness is a team effort.
