International Beaver Day
Every year on April 7, the hardest-working rodent in the wetlands gets a standing ovation. International Beaver Day celebrates the beaver, nature's original civil engineer, and the remarkable woman who spent half a century studying it. Every April 7, the day shines a light on the dams, lodges, and ponds that beavers build, and on the wetlands full of life that rise up behind them.
