International Day of Street Children
Every year on April 12, the world is asked to see the children it usually walks past. The International Day for Street Children, launched in 2011, is a global call to recognize the rights and dignity of the millions of children who live or work on the streets. It asks governments, communities, and each of us to look beyond old prejudices and to see these young people for what they are: children, with the same rights and the same potential as any other child.
