International Sloth Day
Every year on the third Saturday in October, the world slows down for International Sloth Day. Founded in 2010 by the Colombian wildlife foundation AIUNAU, this delightfully unhurried holiday celebrates the adorable tree-huggers of Central and South America and the rainforests they call home. Warning: celebrating may cause extreme relaxation.

Give to a rescue and rehabilitation group like AIUNAU or The Sloth Institute, and spread the word that sloths do not make good pets.
