World Trauma Day
Every year on October 17, World Trauma Day calls attention to one of the world's greatest causes of preventable death and disability: traumatic injury. Born in New Delhi in 2011 in response to India's staggering road toll, the day is a global call to prevent injuries, strengthen emergency care, and stand beside survivors and their families.
