World Piano Day
Every year on March 29, the world plays its favorite 88 keys a little louder. World Piano Day celebrates the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers, and most important of all, the listener. It falls on the 88th day of the year, one day for every key on a standard piano.

3 ways to celebrate
Find a Public Piano
Track down a public piano in a train station, park, or shopping district and play something; if you do not play, go listen, since the audience is half the music.
Learn One New Piece
Sit down at the piano and learn one new piece or just the first few bars of a favorite; the day is about playing, not perfection.
Host a Listening Party
Gather friends for a piano listening night with the official Piano Day playlists, taking turns picking a favorite pianist.
Plan ahead
World Piano Day is observed on March 29 every year. Here is where it lands for the next ten years, handy for planners, marketers and party people.
