World Pulses Day
Every year on February 10, the tiniest superheroes in the pantry get their parade. World Pulses Day celebrates beans, lentils, peas, chickpeas, and their pod-bearing cousins, the humble dried seeds that feed billions, enrich the soil they grow in, and ask for almost nothing in return. Proclaimed by the United Nations and observed since 2019, it is a global cheer for nutrition, sustainability, and really good soup.
