International Condom Day
Every year on February 13, caring for someone means protecting them too. Launched by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation in 2009, International Condom Day celebrates condoms as the world's best option for preventing HIV, other sexually transmitted infections, and unplanned pregnancies. Observed on the eve of Valentine's Day, it treats safer sex as a sign of respect, honesty, and love, and it invites the whole world to talk openly about protection without shame.

3 ways to celebrate
Have the Honest Talk
Use the day as a gentle nudge to talk with your partner about protection, preferences, and boundaries, openly and without judgment. Check the condoms you keep on hand for expiration dates and intact packaging, and restock from a pharmacy or a free distribution point.
Share the Message
Post the day's 'Just Use It!' message on your social feeds with #InternationalCondomDay to help normalize safer-sex talk among your circle. Point curious friends to LOVEcondoms.org for facts and resources, or chip in together toward a sexual-health nonprofit doing local education work.
Support Access in Your Town
Find out whether your local health department, clinic, or campus health center offers free condoms, and if they do, help spread the word. Consider volunteering at or donating to a sexual-health clinic or HIV/AIDS service organization, where your time or dollars directly widen access to testing, education, and prevention.
