World Parkinson’s Day
Every year on April 11, a single red tulip carries the hopes of millions. World Parkinson’s Day falls on the birthday of Dr. James Parkinson, the London physician who first described the condition in 1817. It is a day to learn about Parkinson’s disease, to stand with the more than 10 million people living with it worldwide, and to support the research pushing toward better treatments and, one day, a cure.
