International Dwarfism Awareness Day
Every year on October 25, we celebrate the lives, dignity, and achievements of people with dwarfism. Observed every October 25, International Dwarfism Awareness Day honors the birthday of actor and advocate Billy Barty, who founded Little People of America in 1957. The day invites everyone to challenge stereotypes, remove barriers, and recognize the full and active lives people with dwarfism lead.
