Global Day of Unplugging
Every year on March 5-6, 2027, the whole world is invited to power down and look up. The Global Day of Unplugging is a 24-hour digital pause that runs from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday on the first weekend of March, when people everywhere trade their screens for face time, fresh air, and real conversation.

3 ways to celebrate
Host a Screen-Free Supper
Cook a favorite meal together with every device in a drawer, and put a basket by the door for guests' phones. Conversation is the entertainment.
Plan a Phone-Free Adventure
Organize a hike, picnic, or board-game marathon with one rule: no screens until sundown Saturday. Take one group photo at the start, then pocket the camera.
Join the Unplug Map
Check the Unplug Map for a local gathering, or host your own at a park, library, or coffee shop and add your pin. Strangers make the best unplugged company.
Plan ahead
Global Day of Unplugging moves each year (CHANGES ANNUALLY). This year it is Friday, March 5, 2027. Check back for future years.
